Thankfully this week my mail week wasn’t massive…only got a few books this week and one of the packets were a pleasant surprise! Here’s what I got this week…

Thank you to Scholastic Australia and Penguin Australia for sending me these books to review.

Bookish News

  • Catching Fire was awesome. The whole movie was gripping my heart with tension, emotions and suspense! I left the cinema pretty speechless, it was amazing. My movie review will be posted on Ibrary in the coming days.
  • Marissa Meyer Q&A now live – Come chat wit Marissa Meyer on one of my favourite Goodreads groups! She’s answering any question we throw at her here.

That’s all folks…what did you add to your shelves this week?

    • Awww thank you hun! I've received the award before way back when I first started and already did a post up – unfortunately I don't participate in awards anymore. Much appreciated though!

  1. Waaa. I seriously need to catch up with the Bloodlines series. My behavior is kind of unacceptable because VA is one of my all time favorite paranormal series. But what can I do, there's just so many books to read. Hahahah.

And I agree with Catching Fire. It's awesome and really strove to be faithful to the book. My only disappointment is that it doesn't have a lot of gore factor. But overall, a very good movie. In the first movie, I wasn't that sold with Josh as Peeta but with CF, I'm already a fan. I was really swooning and somewhat crying during that train ride scene and that beach one where he gave Katniss the pendant he got from Effie. And Finnick, OMG! Okay, sorry if I'm behaving like a love crazed teenager.

How many roll of tissues did you use Jeann?

    • Wow, have you read any of the other bloodlines books? I loved VA as well, took me a while to get into Bloodlines but now I love it. Catching Fire was great, I'm sort of great we didn't see the proposal, the train scene was kind of fitting. I think I was constantly crying with tears in my eyes lol. FINNICK was so hot. Hahaha

      Didn't use any tissues thankfully!

    • I wasn't a fan of the first 2 bloodlines books but it has only gotten better and better! love the character development and slow drawing out of the relationship, it's classic Richelle.

  5. Cool Haul. I wish books like Catching Fire and Fiery Heart were available in my country. I have to make do with e-books, when I so wish I could have paperbacks. None of my favourite authors are published in India. 🙁

Cool haul though. Happy reading!! 🙂

    • Thanks Kelly, yeah Bloodlines was the spin off of VA featuring some side characters. It took a while to get off the ground but now I love it! I'll probably post a link of the movie here 🙂

  6. Oh nice haul! I haven't seen Catching Fire yet but hopefully I will get to it this week. I'm really hoping they didn't cut too much from the book.

  7. So jealous you've seen Catching Fire, I have to wait until I save up for tickets. Just spent it on Fangirl. I'm so excited for it and the official movie companion looks awesome! I don't read VA or BL but I know how anxiously everyone's been anticipating The Fiery Heart, so I hope it's all you wanted. Great Haul, Happy Reading 🙂
