Huge book mail week, mostly unsolicited ARCs but I was super excited to be greeted by these packages when I got home! It’s been quite a crazy week for me so coming home to book mail always makes me feel better 🙂
Review copies – physical
Thank you to Bloomsbury, Penguin Australia, Allen & Unwin, Scholastic and Pan Macmillan Australia for these review copies!
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell – I have been waiting MONTHS to read this raved about book and am reading it as we speak! How pretty is the cover?! I just love that shade of mint!
A Corner of White by Jaclyn Moriarty – I requested this book after receiving the 2nd book in the series for review, it’s an award winner and lovely ‘other worldly’ kind of premise.
The Last Shot by Michael Adams – I actually just finished reading The Last Girl last week so I was stoked to receive this in the mail without requesting it! Can’t wait to find out what happens next, I’ll be posting a combined review post of both books once I’ve finished.
Looking for Alibrandi by Melina Marchetta – This is definitely an Australian classic, it was a lovely and poignant story about an Italian girl in Australia. It was an assigned English class reading back in high school and I remember it well along with watching the movie. This is a beautiful edition of the book!
Take Back the Skies by Lucy Saxon – After reading and loving These Broken Stars last year, I craved more YA sci-fi that wasn’t completely confusing or bogged down in explanations. Take Back the Skies sounds like it will be perfect for my craving, and I can’t wait to read it!
Purchased – eBooks
Night of Cake & Puppets by Laini Taylor – A Daughter of Smoke & Bone novella. How fascinating and intriguing is the name of this? I just love it!
Best Australian Blogs Competition – I entered the Best Australian Blogs Competition held by the Writer’s Centre, wish me luck! I encourage other Aussie bloggers to enter, it’s incredibly easy!
Vampire Academy movie is out in Australia – I always thought I would be one of those people who would be first in line in the cinema but I haven’t been able to watch it yet. I’ll be watching it in the following week, can’t wait!
Katie McGarry Q&A – From March 10-13th, the author of Pushing the Limits, Dare You To and Crash Into You will be answering your questions on David Estes’ Group on Goodreads! Check it out here.
