Stacking the Shelves #26 – The Forever Song

April 13, 2014 by Jeann @ Happy Indulgence | Books, Features, Haul, Indulgence Insider

This week’s stacking the shelves by Tynga’s Reviews is all about showing you guys what I added to my shelves this week. The only dilemma? I HAVE NO MORE SHELF SPACE. So today, I’ll be showing you what I’ll be adding to my floor.

Review copies – physical

Thank you to Bloomsbury, Harlequin Australia, Penguin Australia, and Simon & Schuster for sending me these review copies.

The Forever Song (The Eternity Cure #3) by Julie Kagawa
I am SOO excited to see how this series ends! I’ve heard great things (and not so great things) but I know I’ll be in for a Kagawa style thrill ride!

One Tiny Lie (Ten Tiny Breaths #2) by K.A. Tucker
I’ve heard Livvie falls off the wagon with this one, nooo! Will have to see for myself.

Goddess by Laura Powell
Read the blurb and it is another mythology inspired read, yay!

The Break Up Artist by Philip Siegel
You can never have too many fluffy contemporary reads.

Popular: Vintage Wisdom for a Modern Geek (A Memoir)
I’ll be reviewing this tomorrow, I absolutely LOVED this true story!

Review copies – Digital

I went on Edelweiss again and discovered these awesome reads: (Click on the cover for the Goodreads link)

Sand Omnibus by Hugh Howey – Got this on the Amazon daily deal for $1.99!

Won a signed Jessica Shirvington Book from the lovely Chiara at Books for a Delicate Eternity! I love the extra goodies too!

Bookish News

Divergent out in Australia – So I watched Divergent and I’m pretty much intelligible, which is why you haven’t seen a review yet. I’ll be watching it again in a few weeks with Chiara & Bec and maybe I’ll be able to concentrate on something that isn’t…

Don’t mind if I do! *heart throb*

Penguin Teen Australia TV – If you haven’t read my recap on PTA Live yet, Penguin Teen have announced an upcoming fortnightly vlogs about YA books! Yay!

Aimee Agresti Q&A Event – Author of Illuminate and Infatuate from the Gilded Wings series will be visiting the David Estes Fan Group on April 21-24th! Click here to check it out.

What did you add to your shelves this week?

  1. Julie Kagawa, first of all, is GENIUS.

And I REALLY want to read Of Monsters and Madness, you don't even know, but I CAN NOT READ EBOOKS. Especially after I already broke my ban on reading Don't Touch! WHICH I LOVED! I hope you love it as much as I did 😀

  2. It seems like series conclusion often disappoint a lot of readers… I have heard negative feedback for The Forever Song but I'm still excited to start the series! My copy arrived last week and I will start reading it once I've finished Scarlet 🙂

  3. That gif of THEO makes me want to start at him all day long! GAH!!! And I recently heard an interview with him and that English accent is killer! *swoon*

I'm dying to read The Breakup Artist, not to mention that I love the cover! You have a great haul and I need to read a book by Julie Kagawa because I've heard nothing but amazing things about that author! Happy reading! 😉

  4. Adding to your floor…hehe. xD I got a brand new bookshelf for Christmas, like 16 shelves and all, and I was totally, "I'm going to only fill this with MY books." Har, har, me. I've got about 4 shelves left and it's only April. o.O Maybe I can run my own personal library?? XD I got Goddess too! Not really my typical read, buuut, I'm interested. x)

  5. I had a comment all ready to go, really insightful and intelligent.

You just HAD to post up Theo James. Now I can't even remember my own name.

Good grief. Umm, happy, err, reading.

    Now I'm a bumbling idiot.

  6. Thanks Faye, I think I'm going to love it too! OMG I can't believe that happened to you with the Dolls, that is terrible 🙁 Maybe I'll stay away because that is not behaviour I would like to support. Anyways, thanks Faye! I'll go check out your Goodreads on that book.

  7. FOREVER SONG! I think you'll like the final book if you weren't bothered by the angst that were in books 1 and 2. And also, as someone who just recently read The Dolls by Kiki Sullivan (and received quite unpleasant comments from the company behind it), let me forewarn you now that's quite… awful 🙁 I have a wall of text of status updates dedicated to this book alone. Ugh. In any case, the others look so good! I hope you enjoy reading them all!

  8. Eeep! I enjoy KA Tucker's series, but I can't bring myself to read One Tiny Lie. I have heard some disturbing news about Livvie in here, and I'd much rather keep the Livvie that I knew from the first book. I'll be looking out for your review, Jeann.

*sighs longingly* Theo James. That is all.
