Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where we share what we added to our shelves this week.
It’s been really interesting seeing all of the BEA happenings on Twitter and other blogs, I am totally fangirling with you all when you meet certain authors or get ARCs! One day I will attend, one day. Speaking of conventions, I booked my plane tickets to PAX Australia so my boyfriend and I will be jetsetting to Melbourne in late October/November! I am super excited, will be catching up with a lot of my gaming friends and checking out the latest games.
Other than that, last week I went to a massive Greek festival here and ate up a storm. There
were chicken yiros, honey puffs, spinach and feta triangles, marinated octopus and calamari and so much yummy goodness! I can’t believe it’s another year until I can eat these honey puffs again…
I got all of these at a bookstore outlet at DFO for $3 each! I could not believe my luck in stumbling upon these awesome titles! They had Slammed there too, I recently bought it for $14 which sucked 😛 totally worth it though.
Point of Retreat by Colleen Hoover (Slammed #2)
A Fistful of Charms by Kim Harrison (The Hollows #4)
Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols
The Crane Wife by Patrick Ness
The House of Scorpion & Lord of Opium by Nancy Farmer
Review copies – physical
Thank you to Scholastic Australia and Hardie Grant Egmont for sending me these copies! I’m really eager to reading Gone after some recent raves about it (I’m looking at you Cait!)
Seven: The Last Thirteen by James Phelan
Breaking Butterflies by M. Anjelais – I haven’t heard about this before but it sounds really beautiful. Doesn’t the cover remind you of those classic psychology tests?

Jaz (Pixel Ski) let me know that HEIR OF FIRE was on Netgalley and I pretty much dropped everything to go and read it! I am so thankful of my Bloomsbury Australia auto-approval. Go, go everywhere and go download it! I have just started and it is fantastic.
Annnd it looks like HarperCollins and Katherine Tegen Books have put up their next batch of YA reads on Edelweiss, so I got busy with downloading them while everyone is at BEA 😉
I also got an ARC of Slip by David Estes which is a futuristic dystopian with extreme measures of population control. I wish I could share with you guys the cover, but it isn’t out yet. I’ll be reviewing it as part of the book blitz on June 16, I hope you guys can take part as well!
I’ve been reading so many fabulous discussion posts lately that it’s hard to keep up! Here’s some of my favourites:
