Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where we share what we added to our shelves this week.
I had an eventful day yesterday with the most awesome bookish day ever! It started out with visiting the Lifeline Bookfest and getting some awesome YA books that I was pretty pleased with, attending the Penguin Teen Australia The Fault in Our Stars marathon and watching the movie with Chiara, Bec, Kate and Sarah, and then visiting the Brisbane Libraries ibrary event for TFIOS. It was full of fun and bookish awesomeness and was great seeing some of our local bloggers again.
You can read about the day on Bec’s recap at Readers Wonderland here.
Also The Fault in Our stars broke my heart into two and after the movie I spent some time depressed in bed, but that’s something that I’ll talk about later when Chiara and I post up our next version of Happy Eternity Discussions.
I’m really pleased with my bookfest haul, got some new releases plus some books that I’ve been wanting to read a while. Let’s take a closer look…
The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. Valente
Two Weeks’ Notice by Rachel Caine
Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
Forgotten by Cat Patrick
Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
Just Listen by Sarah Dessen
Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen

The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater – A gorgeous hardcover version, couldn’t believe this was there!
Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness – This is missing it’s dust cover but I couldn’t resist the beautiful hardcover.
I also got these awesome DVDs from the bookfest 🙂 So pleased for the two Sailor Moon seasons (3 &4)!
Big W had an online book sale that was $2 for every books, so I bought these books:
Review copies – physical
The Minnow by Diana Sweeney and Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz – how gorgeous do these two covers look together? They are both award winners as well!
Thank you to Text Publishing and Simon and Schuster Australia for sending me these books for review.
Review copies – digital
Click on the covers to be taken to the Goodreads pages for these books.
Thank you to the publishers on Edelweiss for these review copies!
I told myself that I wouldn’t go to the library again until my review pile is caught up but I saw that To All the Boys was in stock so I had to get it! I also saw these beautiful hardbacks, so we’ll see how we go this month with reading them.
