Indulgence Insider is my version of Stacking the Shelves and the Sunday Post, bringing you this week’s haul, bookish news and discussion posts from around the blogosphere!

Thank you all for helping me celebrate my 2 year blogoversary this week, it was a wonderful day and I feel very loved! Hopefully I will be blogging for many more years to come πŸ™‚ Enter my giveaway here if you haven’t already to win a $15 TBD book of your choice!

Last week I didn’t have an Indulgence Insider, I usually do them when I gather up enough books to preview.

I have always posted at 6pm during the weekday and whatever time on the weekends.Β This week I’ve been changing up my posting times, around 9am or 12pm on weekdays. Do you guys have a preference for posting times?

How to Love by Katie Cotugno
The Falconer by Elizabeth May

  1. I got sent a copy of Queen of the Tearling, too, and I think it sounds like it's going to be pretty amazing! I'm really excited about reading it, even though it's massive compared to all my other books- next up on my shelf! I hope we both enjoy it! x

  2. I know, the trailers are so good! I can't wait for the full movie. I'm not sure about Bumped, I have heard variable things so far. Can't wait to read Queen of Tearling though!

  3. Thanks Pili, I am really enjoying Falconer at the moment, it's pretty fascinating. WWL was sooo good, I can't stop thinking about it! I will let you know how I go with Queen of Tearling πŸ™‚ Looks like movie rights got sold before the book came out, wow!

  4. Oooh, I was super disappointed with Allegiant but I really enjoyed the Four perspective, because now we see why he's like that instead of the surprising OOC character in Allegiant. I loved We Were Liars, I read it a week ago and I'm still thinking about it! Glad to hear you enjoyed Five Ways as well. Thank you Kim for your lovely comment! Have a good one.

  5. Oh my gosh, I really loved We Were Liars but I know some people didn't and I know why (because it's vague). Glad to hear How To Love is your favourites, I'll have to make it on the top of my reading list then πŸ˜‰ You too!

  6. Glad to hear, I read WWL last week and WOW it was so amazing. I can't stop thinking about it. Ketchup clouds really intrigues me, but I've read so much contemporary lately.

  7. Thanks Kelly, I'm not quite happy with my WWL review at the moment but we'll see, my blog tour date is on the 27th so there's still a while yet. I read Roomies and I'm very unsure of it, not sure if I'll review it.

  8. That's the same, I usually post around 6pm and I've gone back to my usual time because it doesn't seem to affect people's views or comments. Hahaha I saw your tweet on Twitter, did you have any luck? I just read Four and really enjoyed it, hope you do too!

  9. I am lucky to have some great Aussie publishers here Faye! We Were Liars was so good, I read it last week and still can't stop thinking about it. No problems Faye, I look forward to chatting on your podcast πŸ˜€ I still have to listen to your 2nd one.

  10. Amazing haul!!! I am starting to think I really need to get The Queen of Tearling in the near future. Enjoy!!!

Thanks for the amazing links as well – definitely some great posts listed there πŸ™‚

  11. I love that cover of The Queen of the Tearling! The US one bores me a little. We Were Liars, Roomies, and Ketchup Clouds all look really good. Bumped is . . . one of my least favorite books. One of the sisters' entire POV annoyed me the entire time I was reading it. It's sorta intriguing, though. I hope you have much better luck with it!

    Enjoy your new books. πŸ™‚

    • Ohh I just checked out the US one and it looks like a lot of other book covers I've seen before. I've just read Roomies and I don't know what to think of it, might not review it because of my thoughts on it. I'm not sure. Eeek, I haven't heard too good things about Bumped, will have to see if I end up getting to it. Thank you!

  12. Oh I loved Every Word, it was even better than Every Breath! And The Falconer is fabulous too! We Are Liars sounds so intriguing and I've heard it has left people completely shocked! I'm looking forward to finding out what the big twist is that nobody saw coming! Happy reading πŸ™‚

    • oooh glad to hear that Amy, I'll have to track down Every Breath and have a read of it! I'm about to pick up The Falconer which I'm excited about. It's been almost a week and I'm still thinking about We Were Liars, it was just amazing.

  13. I am always in awe of the ARCs you receive >:D< You have so many, girl! I can't wait to see what you think of them, especially We Were Liars. I'm not really sure what to feel of Queen of the Tearling as the reviews I've read were pretty mixed o.o

In any case, thanks for linking our Potato Podcast! Don't forget, you're going to be a guest soon πŸ˜‰

  14. Before, I didn't have preferences on when to post but after quite some time, I am now trying to have a schedule on when to post. Usually it's around 8-9PM here in the PH.

Wow you have How To Love πŸ™‚ Although it didn't become a favorite, I enjoyed that book.

While I'm still hoping to get a signed copy of Four (signed by Theo James' lips), I am getting my copy on Friday. WEEE!

  15. Yay for We Were Liars! That book was amazing (as you already know by now πŸ˜› ) I'm also really curious what you'll think of The Falconer. I quite enjoyed it, though the cliffhanger at the end is KILLER.

    Happy reading, Jeann <33

  16. I always wonder if people have a posting time preference too.. but I really don't think it matters. I will post at different times and I never think it makes a difference in views or comments. Teaser trailers drive me nuts! I just want the full trailer right now. RIGHT NOW.

  17. Oh, How to Love is a good one! I really enjoyed it! We Were Liars was good too. And you'll have to keep me updated on Ketchup Clouds! I think I borrowed it from the library once as well but never ended up finishing it. I think I liked it from the little I read though haha. Have a great week and again, happy blogoversary! πŸ™‚

  19. You got The Queen of the Tearling! I want to read it so bad. I also see you picked up 'Bumped' from the library. I really enjoyed that one, hope you do too. I am loving the MockingJay teaser trailers, can't wait to see the movie.

  20. Oh lalala someone had a FABULOUS week of books! I am actually curious to see what you'll make of We Were Liars, I know there have been plenty of mixed reactions..

Also HOW TO LOVE. Omg I really hope you love this, Jeann! It's definitely one of my favorites and it's just so good!

Anyway have A FANTASTIC week, Jeann! πŸ™‚

  21. Somehow the Four book has totally escaped my radar until I've seen it popping up all over the blogpshere this week! I love him, but I'm not sure if I want to go back into that world after my disappointment with Allegiant. One of these days I'll get over that… πŸ™‚

We Were Liars was fan-flipping-tastic. It totally blew my mind and was, I think, the toughest review I ever had to write. It was hard to talk about it without giving anything away. I really enjoyed Five Ways to Fall. I'm so sad to see that series come to an end.

Thanks for all the links… I'm on my way to check out some other posts now. πŸ™‚ Have a great week!

  22. Nice haul! I cannot wait to read your review of We Were Liars and to see what you think of The Falconer!!

Also, I want to hear your thoughts on Queen of the Tearling, cause I've read so many reviews that are either very positive or quite negative! I had no idea there was going to be a movie already about it!

  23. Again, happy blogoversary. I always feel like I'm spelling it wrong, haha. Your blog is a toddler now πŸ™‚

Honestly I don't mind when people post. It always comes up in my email inbox anyway, and I comment whenever I get a chance. (read: when I'm procrastinating). I post every day at 8am – that's the time frame for Aussie Owned and Read, which I co-blog with, so I just stuck with it.

Great haul this time around! I can't wait to read We Were Liars. It's like the second wave of amazing reviews now, with the Aussies on board πŸ™‚ I really liked Ketchup Clouds, and Every Word is AMAZING of course πŸ™‚

  24. I'm going to sit over here and cry huge tears of pain because everyone is reading We Were Liars and I cannot, goddamit. Anyhow, I don't think I congratulated your yesterday, think I read but forgot to comment, so congratulations Jeann, I think you're a wonderful blogger and couldn't image not visiting you almost every single day, you must stick around for many more years! You also should never stop worrying about the library, they're wonderful, use them well πŸ˜‰

  25. I've nothing but great things about We Were Liars! From the reactions I see it's the kind of book that causes book hangovers and that's only making me want to read it even more. As for posting preference, I usually work on a post on late mornings so I can publish it at noon or early afternoon when I'm not busy or I don't have school. Anyway, that Mockingjay teaser is da bomb! I can't wait for the movie!!

    • I know, I made a huge list of all the 2014 releases that the library has, truly amazing! Thank you Bec! I picked it up because of you πŸ˜€ Good to see you back hun x

  26. Ohhhh Four and We Were Liars? SO AWESOME. And I know you've already started WWL and isn't it mind-blowign? I will never recover. x) Eep, thanks for linking to my post though! I usually post at around 7pm each night. I've found it's not a bad traffic time and I'm sticking with it. x) It's when I read blogs mostly too…so it all ties in well. Finding that "perfect" time for your blog is tricky, though, right?!

    • I know, I was so chuffed about We Were Liars and will be reading Four soon, woah WWL was super mind blowing! I just don't even know what I can say about it now. Yeah, 6pm usually works well for me I think. It is really tricky actually because of different numbers.
