Introducing Our New Co-Blogger Michelle!

August 9, 2014 by Jeann @ Happy Indulgence | Reflections

GUYS I am super excited to announce that I’ve found my co-blogger and partner in crime on Happy Indulgence! Thank you everyone who has applied, it’s been an emotional process and a really tough decision, but when Michelle applied I knew she would be the one. I can’t wait for you all to get to know this lovely bookish Canadian! Over to Michelle…

Hello future friends and bookworms!

You may have heard that Jeann has been looking for a co-blogger that will help her out with this amazing blog of hers. I would like to say hello to all of you! My name is Michelle, and I am Jeann’s new co-blogger at Happy Indulgence!

I am 14, and about to begin my freshman year in high school. Sure, I love school and learning (I still don’t know what I’d like to be), but my love of blogging and reading exceeds that. I might be busy with school sometimes, but there’s always time for blogging and reading! πŸ˜‰

That’s me (well more like half of me) kissingΒ The Bane Chronicles.Β

I was born and I currently live in Toronto, Canada. I’ve always dreamt of living in the country so I could watch the stars, but I guess that there’d be no bookstores nearby. So I am where I am. πŸ™‚ No, I don’t live in an igloo or drink maple syrup everyday. I’m probably just your ordinary girl withΒ an obsession with books and anime.Β Yes, I am a proud bibliophile and otaku! (Care to spend a few hours talking about books and anime with me?)

You may have known me from my blog, A Thousand Lives Lived,Β or from GoodreadsΒ or Twitter.Β Either way, I’m all over the place, and sharing my passion and opinion with other readers and audiences just satisfies me and my day.

So as you can see, I read a lot. A variety of genres catch my attention, but my most favourite are: Young Adult (obviously), fantasy, contemporary, romance, sci-fi, and dystopia/utopia, just to name a few. I usually like to review ARCs so I can share my recommendations and opinions before the rest of the world gets to purchase the books when they are released.

I began blogging in March 2013, with many hopes and dreams to becomeΒ someone bigΒ in the blogosphere. At the time, I was alreadyΒ crazy about booksΒ and YA. I began to review and blog slowly, but it was all thanks to Marta Szemik,Β a fellow indie author and close family friend of mine since I was a child. She has owned a blog for many years to promote her writing career, and when she recommended that I should join Blogger, I just couldn’t wait to get everything up and ready.

To this day, I have met many friends online who enjoy the same tastes and interests as me, and blogging has now come to be my most favourite thing in the world. Reviewing, editing, reading, and commenting on other people’s posts doesn’t feel like a job as some people may see it. Sure, it’s a commitment, but it’s also an adoration and love of mine, and there’s never going to be any signs of stopping. This isn’t a phase!

I have known about Happy Indulgence for a long time, and have seen Jeann around in the blogosphere. When I saw that she was looking for a co-blogger to help her out, I signed up immediately, and ta da! I am so grateful and thankful that I have come to this amazing opportunity that will help me learn more about reviewing, books, and achieving great things.

I can’t wait to get started, and thank you all for reading this post! Cheers to many more great reviews and comments!

Hi, Michelle! Welcome, welcome, welcome. So glad to have you here. If I'm honest, I was totally getting sick of Jeann. She just kept posting things and going on and on and on (HEHE).

Jeann, I am so happy for you for taking the leap of faith. I can feel your blogging struggles, my friend. It was hard for me to imagine how you were able to blog actively when you have reading that needs to get done and you know, that thing we called "work."

Cheers to your continued success! <3
