Indulgence Insider #13 – Back from PAX & This Shattered World

November 9, 2014 by Jeann @ Happy Indulgence | Books, Features, Indulgence Insider

Indulgence Insider is our version of Stacking the Shelves and the Sunday Post, bringing you this week’s haul, bookish news and discussion posts from around the blogosphere!

So I’m back from my epic gaming convention weekend at PAX last weekend, and it was a whole lot of fun! We played lots of new release games including Battlefield Hardline and Borderlands Pre-Sequel and caught up with a lot of gaming friends. Here’s some of my favourite shots:

It’s been a rough ride though, I also got really sick while I was down there with a bladder infection, and found myself in hospital when I got back. Was there for a half a day or so, but I’m okay now and recovering. Thanks for all of your well wishes when I was away.

Read Play Blog 2

Don’t forget about this month’s Read Play Blog post on the 16th, with the following topic: “What is your favourite sci-fi game?” With November 7 being N7 day or Mass Effect Day, we thought it would be fitting.

Book Haul

Review copies – physical

Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick – Have heard heaps of interesting things and I’m intrigued…

This Shattered World by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner – SQUEE I have been waiting ALL YEAR! Cannot wait for this awesomeness 😀 I think I prefer the Aussie cover because the text looks neater.

All Fall Down by Ally Carter – I just know this one is going to be intelligent with a spunky heroine, and the spy part is awesome as well.

You by Caroline Kepnes – This sounds SO freaky, it is compared to Gone Girl so I cannot wait.

Veronica Mars: A Thousand Dollar Tan Line (not pictured) – I was sent another version of this which I purchased when it came out, love Veronica Mars!

Thank you to Allen & Unwin, Simon and Schuster Australia and Scholastic for these review copies.
