Read Play Blog #10 – Gaming Merchandise

April 17, 2015 by Jeann @ Happy Indulgence | Features, Gaming, Read Play Blog

Read Play Blog 2

Read Play Blog is a meme about video games and books, posted every 16th of the month. Bloggers are encouraged to answer a discussion question, and recommend a video game that is similar to a book they liked. Hosted by Happy Indulgence Books & Read Me Away.

Read Play Blog is back for another month of gaming! This month’s question is:

Show Us Your Gaming Merch!

My gaming merch mostly consists of different bits and piecces and collector’s editions which I have started collecting from pre-orders.

sims4

Sims 4 Collector’s Edition

Starcraft-2-Heart-of-the-Swarm-Collector-39-s-Edition-Unboxing-1096508

Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm Collector’s Edition

gamingshirts

My favourite gaming shirts

gamingbooks

Some pops, bobbleheads and strategy guides

soft toys

Pokemon, Portal Companion Cube, Rabid and some Mario stuff

What gaming merchandise do you want?

Me being such a big Portal fan, I would love to have my own Portal gun one day:

I also pre-ordered the next Batman game, Arkham Knight which comes with this awesome statue:

So much Merch that I would love to have!

Recommendation: Game of Thrones Game

swordinthedarkness1

I played Episode 3 of the Game of Thrones Telltale Game and it was as awesome as always. I just love how it links in with the show but gives us a whole different perspective with some pretty great multiple characters. Check out my review for Episode 3: The Sword in the Darkness.

Currently Playing: Animal Crossing New Leaf

Still playing New Leaf, although I’ve been getting a bit bored of doing the same thing everyday for a while, so I haven’t checked it in a few days.

Next month’s question: Show off your gaming setup – post your answer, recommendation & currently playing on the 16th or anytime during the month and link up!

  1. Lots of cool stuff!!! 🙂 My partner and I have a small business that sells Book Inspired shirts, and seeing your post, I totally realize that there are people who are super in love with some books/games that they're willing to collect anything related to it.

    PS: Love the plushies!!!!

I know what you mean about Animal Crossing, I feel like that period where you kind of get bored with it is inevitable. When I do play I enjoy it but I have a hard time getting into it at first. I'm loving your gaming shirts and drooling over the Sims 4 Collector's Edition, I have the game but I love the looks of all the goodies there. I never got into Starcraft but I am curious about it. Is it like Mass Effect? I recently got into Dragon Age and I am obsessed.

Ooh, I've still not made the switch to Sims 4 yet. I love your geeky tees the most though, especially the Pokemon ones. I've got a few Pokemon ones too, and my favourite is probably the pika-thor one (Pikachu + Thor, what else could you need?!), but last time I went to the hairdressers bleach ran down the back so now it's looking very worse for wear!

It's good to see you recommending the Game of Thrones Game – my partner and I are both huge Game of Thrones and we've been debating whether to play the game for ages. We should obviously just do it!

    • Hehe yep, my tshirt collection is one of my favourites! That Pika-Thor one sounds so epic! Glad to hear you're keen on the Game of Throne game – PLAY IT!
