Find Me Tag: I Hunt Down Books & Take Photos of Them

May 29, 2015 by Jeann @ Happy Indulgence | Books

The lovely Chiara tagged me to do the Find Me Tag, which is a fun book photography tag, created by Christy at Novel Ink! I’m always looking for photo inspiration on Instagram so this one was perfect.

How it works:

1. Find a book in the 10 categories listed below, take a photo or post the cover.
2. Tag the next victims (you’re not obligated to do it)
3. Link back to Christy at Novel Ink!

The Categories:

1. Book with Sunset – All Fall Down by Ally Carter
2. Book with Water – Afterworlds by Scott Westerfield
3. Book with a Flower – Splintered by A.G. Howard
4. Book with Heart – Severed Heads, Broken Hearts by Robyn Schneider

5. Book title with Gone – Gone by Michael Grant
6. Book with a Weapon – Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
7. Book with a Moon – Bloodfever by Karen Marie Moning
8. Girl in a White Dress – Hallowed by Cynthia Hand
9. Couple Kissing – Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
10. Book with Headphones – This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales

I’ve read: 5/10 of these books on my shelf. Wow, I really need to get a move on.

And for fun…here is my Instagram inspiration while doing the tag:

  1. Without sounding like a complete loon, I love dappled sunlight photos, you could take a photo of a really ugly little cactus, add dappled sunlight and BAM. You're on the verge of winning the best photographer in the history of photography. Well maybe not, but you know what I mean. Ooh, thanks for the tag, I'm in the midst of cleaning out my shelves at the moment, so at least it's handy having books all over the floor. Going to get snap happy soon <3
My recent post An Ember in The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir… Absolutely Brilliant

Awesome photos Jeann! The sunlight dappling onto those covers – just lovely (then again – books are some of the best subjects to take photos of anyway). Great post 🙂

Ah, such a fun tag, Jeann! You know I just started on Instagram a few weeks ago, so seeing all the photos taken by the lovely blogging community has been so great, and I love seeing the tags and inspiration going about. Ahh. Instagram is nice.
I really like your answers for the first four particularly. It's so nice how All Fall Down has sun coming in on it and it's the book fitting the sunset theme!

How fun!!! I love this idea of a scavenger book hunt. 🙂
    Great photos, too.

  5. I love your picks Jeann! It reminded me of the many books I have yet to read 😉 And that cover of Hallowed is absolutely stunning! Is that the Australian edition? Cause I like it a whole lot more than the blue colored one! This is a great tag! I love your book photos too but who doesn't? They're gorgeous <3

    • Thanks Amir, you're too sweet! Yup, the covers for the Aussie editions of this series are so pretty.

Severed Heads and Broken Hearts always did sound better than The Beginning of Everything. :/ Anyway, what a great job on the tag! I'm still struggling with it because I don't have enough books to fit some tags. XD

    • Yeah, I'm sure they had a good reason to change it though. You can use book covers from Goodreads as well!

  7. Novel Ink

Awe, thanks so much for doing the tag. It's nice to see when Christy and my thoughts come to life and people actually go forth and do them.

    Lovely photos <33
