Today I am launching the blog tour for The Mime Order, which is now out on paperback! I’ve just started reading The Mime Order and it is fantastic – it really builds upon the world set in Bone Season on voyants, an alternate London ruled by Mime-Lords and the unusual Rephaites wanting to take over. I’ll be reviewing the book soon!

Read my review for The Bone Season here. (It was a 5 Star read!)

Samantha Shannon has provided the character biographies below on the key characters of The Bone Season. Having such a different variety of characters, species, clairvoyant types and of course, their favourite food are all fascinating and make for a great dynamic in the series.

Paige Mahoney has escaped the brutal prison camp of Sheol I, but her problems have only just begun: many of the survivors are missing and she is the most wanted person in London…

As Scion turns its all-seeing eye on the dreamwalker, the mime-lords and mime-queens of the city’s gangs are invited to a rare meeting of the Unnatural Assembly. Jaxon Hall and his Seven Seals prepare to take centre stage, but there are bitter fault lines running through the clairvoyant community and dark secrets around every corner. Then the Rephaim begin crawling out from the shadows. But where is Warden? Paige must keep moving, from Seven Dials to Grub Street to the secret catacombs of Camden, until the fate of the underworld can be decided.

This post is amazing. I like the books, I just finished The Mime Order. I have a hungarian fanpage about hte Bone Season sereies. I'd like to ask, that can I translate the character biographies and share on my blog?

  2. I'm reading The Mime Order at the moment Jeann and absolutely loving it! It's one of the best dark fantasies I've read since The Darkest Minds series. Jaxon seems the type to sit and watch Masterchef with his roasted ducks nuts and a date sauce to die for. Really obscure dishes that no one else would eat. O my lovely. I love his character, he's such a flamboyant bastard 😀 Awesome tour stop Jeann, really enjoyed it <3
My recent post Welcome back to Scion… The Mime Order

    • So am I Kelly, it's taken me a long time to read it but I'm still enjoying it 🙂 I have a feeling it's going to get really epic soon. HAHAHA I LOVE the way you described Jaxon! Please put that in your review!

    • So did I Nick, I absolutely LOVED it! So far the 2nd book seems to be better without the info dumping and stuff but I really need to just sit down and read it.

  3. First of all, screw Warden for being gigantic. I WISH I WAS THAT TALL. If I ever stood next……I just realized Warden isn't human so… (leaving this bit in here for your amusement)

I actually haven't read The Bone Season .-. When it first came out, reviews seemed to be all over the place so i wasn't sure whether or not the book would be for me…. I do like the characters' taste in food so I may just have to read the book.

Thank you for sharing this with us, Jeann <3

My recent post How to Post on Time (Tips For When You’re Busy As Heck!)

    • Hahahha you are so hilarious Rashika! Well he is still massively tall for a Rephaim. I really loved The Bone Season, but it was hard to get into with all the different terminology and stuff. But stick with it, because it gets really good! No problems Rashika <3

  4. Yay I'm a part of this blog tour as well! I love this series, but it all the different clairvoyances can definitely get overwhelming and so confusing.

OMG, not surprised at all that Jaxon's favourite food is quail eggs lel. So Jaxon.

  5. aentee @ read at midnight

I bought The Bone Season last month and plan to read it very soon! I am so excited you enjoyed it. All these characters have fantastic taste in food so I think I'll get along with them well. This post is making me so hungry haha.
