Harry Potter Launch Party & July Wrap Up Video

July 31, 2016 by Jeann @ Happy Indulgence | Books, Features, Monthly Recap, Videos

Today I went to the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Launch Party at our local dymocks which was lots of fun! Although we kind of missed out of a lot of activities at the book store (everyone was pretty spread out), it was great being there for the countdown and seeing some people in costume. It was also pretty cool being at the bookstore early before the public gained access.

I haven’t been able to read it yet and I doubt I will over the next few weeks, so no spoilers anyone! The hardback is so completely beautiful though.

Here’s some pics from the day!

  1. I'm so jealous. I had to work all day on Saturday, and by the time I left my second job, I was just too tired to even attempt to go to one of the launch parties near me. Oh well… I never went to any of them as a kid, so I don't really feel like I missed out on anything.

I'm glad you had fun, though. I love that huge birthday cake for Harry. lol

    • Oh man, that definitely sounds exhausting Erin! Yeah, I didn't go to them either but thought it would be fun to experience. It was actually kind of underwhelming, lol.

  2. Really jealous of all you folks who were so excited for Cursed Child's release. I haven't read any of the HP books, but I so wish I could've join in the furor of anticipating its release! The bookstore here had a midnight party at the park and other ones were opened hours past midnight. 🙂

Have a great month to you all!

I'm so excited to read HP and the Cursed Child! I think it's out here in the US as well, I'll have to get a copy soon. Hope you have a wonderful August, Jeann! It must be fun to be in a new house:-)

    • It is definitely exciting for those who grew up with HP like myself! I hope you enjoy Tammy. I really do enjoy our new house.

  5. Tasya

It looks like a lot of fun! I personally didn't pre-order it or anything, I'm waiting for the reviews to decide whether to read it or not! 😀 We also have release party, but not a midnight one. I didn't came, but it also seems like a fun event 😀

    • That makes a lot of sense Tasya, I\’m already hearing early thoughts on it so I want to read it myself to decide!

  6. Omg Jeann, you're so cute in Rhi's video HAHA. Oh man, I'm so excited to dive into the book, even though I won't be able to for a while. In the meantime, I will just keep stroking the hardcover.
