Art washes away from the soul the dust of every day life.

A forest teeming with vitality… An icy tundra… A kingdom at war… Travel to these exciting destinations through reading these fantasy books! This time’s Indulgence Designs showcases three fantasy books that come out during the last half of 2016. You’re looking at sigh-inducing romances, action that literally leaps off the pages, and a whole new world of creatures and elements that’ll surely satisfy your quench for creativity.

I’m also hoping to create more graphics over the summer because there are so many unique books coming out!Β The ideas are coming out like waterfall from my brain.

Some rules:

  • All quotes belong to each respective author and publisher.
  • I used some elements from Free Pik to embellish these designs; I do not own them.
  • For personal use only.
  • Happy reading!

Ivory and Bone by Julie Eshbaugh

The great news is that this book is already out!Β It has roots ofΒ Pride and Prejudice in a prehistoric setting, and is told in mainly a second person POV. I thought it was a risky move on the author’s part, but overall she really sold me on it! The story continued to flow despite the “you” inserted in passages, and it was a pretty intriguing story.

Nemesis by Anna Banks

This fantasy was really engaging and I love the world that Banks creates! There are unique creatures inserted to add a bit of a twist, and abilities that drive the characters. You lovers of the forbidden love trope will enjoy this one, since the main couple has secrets that they’re hiding from the other… Written in alternating points of view from Tarik and Sepora, this story is nonstop fun.

Ever the Hunted by Erin Summerill

The bad news is that this book comes out in December! So we’ll have to wait quite a bit for it… Why not enjoy these wallpapers while waiting? πŸ˜‰ This book features hunters on the run, warring kingdoms, mad kings, and dark magic. Sounds like the perfect formula for fantasy readers.

It’s such a long wait I made two wallpapers for it haha. Enjoy!

Are you excited for any of these? I’d love to know if you use one of these! Does anyone volunteer to help me build a time machine so the latter two books can release more quickly?

  1. I haven't read any of these books yet but have had my eye on Ivory and Bone for a while. Glad to hear you enjoyed it cos I was a little bit skeptical of the whole prehistoric setting and Pride and Prejudice aspect of it.

These are so lovely, Aila, and represent the books so perfectly! I especially love the design on your Ivory & Bone one! I hope you have heaps of fun over the summer making these beautiful wallpapers <3

    • Aw man Valerie :') Sorry you didn't like Ivory and Bone as much as you wanted to! I thought it took a different turn from what I expected.

AND YOU SHOULD PICK UP NEMESIS – I loved it loads!

  3. All of these graphics are so beautiful, Aila! Thank you so much for sharing them with us! I haven't read any of these books, but the quotes – especially for Ivory and Bone – really make me want to read the book! I know if I love them, I'll definitely be installing these wallpapers πŸ˜‰

I love that image for Ivory and Bone- I see it has a prehistoric slant and is that like a mammoth? Awesome! I want that book now. And Ever The Hunted- kinda the opposite with the tropical-ish (?) looking greenery- looks very summer-y and the description does sound fun. I've noticed more authors seem to be taking a chance with the 2nd person perspective.
My recent post Game of Thrones No One

    • Yup yup that's the silhouette of a mammoth! And yay, that slant was kind of where I was going with the whole prehistoric theme. πŸ™‚

Ever the Hunted takes place in a woodsy kind of environment, thus the leaves hehe. But perfect for the summer as well though!
