Filmed a quick vlog covering these announcements, so I could tell you “in person”!
Exciting Announcement #1 – New Happy Indulgence!
Today’s my birthday and I thought – what better time to launch the new look Happy Indulgence?
Welcome to our new and revamped Happy Indulgence! It’s been 2 years since I last redesigned the site, and I thought it was finally time to update it with a fresh new look, but keeping the things that make us unique! We’re proud to be the pinkest blog in the blogosphere with our signature blissful happy cloud.
Thank you so much to the lovely Steph @ These Paper Hearts for translating my convoluted and ever-changing thoughts into something that we completely LOVE! I’m completely stoked with our new home and couldn’t have wished for a better site.
Exciting Announcement #2 – I’m going to be on radio!
Also I know some of you guys are wondering about my exciting announcement that I’ve been going about all week – I’m going to be on the radio!!!
Last week, I was contacted by ABC Radio to kickstart a new monthly YA segment, promoting Aussie YA Books. The radio presenter recognised me at a few events and checked out my blog, and invited me to join her segment! I’ll be presenting alongside Rhianna Patrick of #ABCRhi and Lecturer (Children’s and YA Books) Sarah Mayor Cox.
You can tune into the first OzYAY! segment at:
Sunday February 7
QLD Time: 6-7 pm
NSW/VIC/ACT/TAS Time: 7-8 pm
WA Time: 4-5 pm
SA Time: 6:30-7:30pm
To join in on the conversation, use the hashtag #ABCRhi on Twitter or call in on 1300 800 222 or SMS 0467 922 612. We’ll be answering your questions live on air!
Facebook Chat with Lynette Noni and Alison Goodman
Following the segment, Lynette Noni (Author of Akarnae) and Alison Goodman (Author of Lady Helen and the Eon series) will be available on Facebook to answer questions live from 7-7:30pm QLD Time or 8-8:30pm Sydney time.
3 years ago when I started Happy Indulgence, I never thought blogging would lead to such an exciting opportunity. As you can probably imagine, I’m completely STOKED to be a part of such a fantastic venture and not to mention a little bit nervous! I hope you’ll all be able to tune in and support Aussie YA!
