Indulgence Insider is our version of Stacking the Shelves, Bought, Borrowed & Bagged and the Sunday Post, bringing you this week’s haul, bookish news and discussion posts from around the blogosphere!
Sooo it turns out I went a bit too hard at the gym, and I’ve managed to hurt my back. Working out is one of the only ways I can destress (and get into shape!) before the wedding, so I’m hoping I can get back into it soon. There’s only 2.5 months to go, to organise both the wedding and the honeymoon and I’m stressed out!
This weekend, I’m heading to the Lifeline Bookfest again which is a huge secondhand book fair. I don’t expect to go too crazy this time, considering I have to save money and all. On Sunday I’m participating in a writing workshop with Amie Kaufman, and I’m super excited! I haven’t really been focused on writing lately, so I’m hoping this will be a great motivation to get it going.
I just watched Wonder Woman as well and it was brilliant! Diana stands for female power and I love her so much for it. PS: there’s no end credits scene, I found out the hard way.
Current giveaways: Win an Aussie YA book pack thanks to Readings Books! Ends 30 June, Aussies only.
Book Haul Unboxing ft Toby
So last week I saved up all my books for a big unboxing at the end of the week, and decided to record it on video! It was fun and took a lot of willpower.
Check out the unboxing video below co-starring Toby!
Gaming Swag from Eightysixed
I was sent a bunch of cool gaming gear from Eightysixed, an online gaming merch and tshirt company. I love their prints and the quality of their shirts! They are so comfortable to wear, soft and vibrant.
If you’re into fighting games like Street Fighter, Killer Instinct, Guilty Gear, Smite and Blaz Blue, you’ll be super excited to find those on their site. Most shirts RRP for $24.00 USD but it looks like there’s a sale on some of them.
Here’s my brother sporting some of their cool gear:
Thanks to Eightysixed for sending us this gaming swag and to my brother for the photoshoot lol. Not awkward at all *coughs*

Toby!!! He is literally grinning in the template, so I’m melting ugh. SO jealous you saw Wonder Woman. I’m hoping to see it soon as well, but wowww, such a wasted opportunity to not have a deleted scene at the end. 🙁

Heheh yess, he was very well behaved during my video! All the treats worked lol. Oh man, I can’t believe there was no scene after the credits!
I don’t know how you had the self-control to save up those books because I pretty much open them as soon as my poor postie delivers them (pretty sure I’m the sole person keeping him in business TBH). But yay, so many great books! I can’t wait to read Ida.

Glad to hear Wonder Woman was good! And enjoy the book event- that panel with Amie Kaufman sounds fabulous.
I’ll have to check out Eightysixed. And hope your back feels better!

Thank you, it’s still healing so it’s a slow going process. Amie Kaufman was fantastic as usual!
I hope your back is okay! Don’t you just hate when you try something healthy and end up doing the reverse? I saw Wonder Woman and loved it too! Hope you have a great week 🙂

Yay! I’m glad I’m not the only one who saw Wonder Woman this weekend! I loved that movie too and I can’t wait to own it on DVD! Also, it’s great that you are working out! I need to work out myself!

Yesss, I didn’t have time to watch it opening week but it was still worth catching it in the cinema! I hurt my back from working out and hope to get back into it once it heals.
Oh girl, hope your back’s okay? Hurting the back sucks.
And a workshop with Amie Kaufman! I have to say, I envy that 🙂 that is totally awesome!!

Yeah, I sprained it so I’ve been waiting a few weeks for it to be healed. It was such a fantastic workshop!
Awe Toby is so cute, and your brother is so sweet for modeling. You had a great haul this week. Ha..I laughed when you said you weren’t going to go crazy at the book fair. Now you know that means there will be incredible finds you cannot pass up!. I hope your back heals quickly!
