I spent last weekend in Brisbane with Jeann and we got up to lots of shenanigans. On top of eating a lot of amazing food, we visited the Lifeline Bookfest and played a lot of board games.
Jeann picked me up from the airport on Friday and we headed straight to the Lifeline Bookfest where Jeann had early access in order to create a promotional vlog for the Bookfest. You can check out the video here:
We spent ages at the Bookfest and then went back the next day (opening day of the Bookfest) to browse again and purchase the titles that we wanted. The Lifeline Bookfest is the biggest second-hand book sale in Australia and it was amazing to the halls filled with rows and rows of books. I had a good browse and ended up picking up an original hardcover of The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness and a 2016 edition of The Shifting Fog by Kate Morton, which looked like it had been unread.
Besides the Bookfest, Jeann and I also spent an entire afternoon filming booktube videos that you will see on the Happy Indulgence youtube channel in the upcoming weeks. I think my performance has definitely improved since the last time!
We also ate a lot and made sure that we went to brunch everyday. In addition, we had yumcha, sushi, Korean fried chicken and delicious Malaysian. Here are a selection of food pictures from the trip:
And of course we couldn’t forget about our other coblogger, Aila, so we hung out via video chat and caught up on all the bookish things that we’ve missed in the past few months. And we managed to get a sneaky group photo!
All in all, it was a wonderful weekend and I can’t wait to see Jeann again later this year!

You guys are such cool co-blogging friends. I’m leaving my sister/ cob logger when I start uni *cries* but luckily we’ll see each other frequently enough. And I met up with some other bloggers a few days ago which was really fun 🙂 🙂
Awwww I’m glad you’ll still be seeing each other! I love meeting with bloggers, it’s my favourite <3
That must have been amazing to meet your coblogger in real life!! I still haven’t met Alise (ONE DAY ONE OF US WILL BE ABLE TO AFFORD A PLANE TICKET ACROSS THE WORLD). And also seeing Bookfest when all the books were neat and not strewn all over the place!

Hehe yes we’ve met a few times before so was lovely to have her over again as usual! I hope you will meet one day, it’s the best thing!
I had so much fun together Jenna! Can this pls be every weekend.
First, your beautiful, happy face is freaking contagious! I could not stop smiling while watching your video, I love it! You’re the cutest!! I LOVE the co-blogger picture, too- so adorable. Your food looks amazing. I mean, I’ll join this blog if I can come hang out at big old book warehouses and eat sushi. #BloggerGoals
Speaking of warehouses… damn. I think I might have been drooling. That is such an awesome cause, too! I wish we had things like that, because of course I would donate, but also, obtain 😀 I may or may not be plotting on stealing TKONLG from you, too muahhaha.

Ahhh thank you so much Shannon, you are seriously so lovely and encouraging that this makes my day <3 We definitely have a lot of common interests between us, which is what makes hanging out so much fun! Yeah it's always a great reminder to pass on books that have been building up on my shelves that I'm never going to read.
Sneaky group photo is muchness cuteness girls! I’m always so envious of the Lifelife fest up there, I wish we had one in Melbourne not only to browse but to be able to donate books towards as well. Such a worthy cause and great initiative. Holy shit I didn’t realise how massive it was, such a brilliant behind the scenes look at the fest! I don’t think people realise how much work goes into it. Looking forward to seeing your goofy upcoming videos <3 <3
Hehe thank you so much for your lovely comment Kelly! It was definitely a great time, even though I didn’t get any books. It’s definitely a huge project and I’m so glad that they’re doing well!
I LOVE ALL THE FOOD PHOTOS *drools*
One day I’ll be there… ONE DAY… :’D
